Assalamu alaykum, dear fellow residents of the district!
I sincerely congratulate you, dear fellow residents, and all the people of our multinational Bukhara District on the greatest and most cherished holiday for our nation — the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan!
Happy Independence Day to us all!
Today, with a profound sense of pride, we are celebrating the 35th anniversary of our state independence — one of the most significant historical milestones in the life of our country.
Independence is the centuries-old dream of our people and a great blessing that has opened the way to living freely, determining our own destiny, and building a worthy future. It was thanks to independence that our national statehood was restored and our attitude toward our native language, national values, and rich history underwent fundamental change.
On these auspicious days, we gratefully remember our devoted ancestors, enlightened scholars, and especially the Jadids who fought for the freedom and prosperity of our Motherland. Their exemplary lives, courage, and noble aspirations continue to find worthy expression in the peaceful and prosperous life we enjoy today.
Dear compatriots!
Today, the large-scale reforms, development projects, and transformations being implemented in the process of building New Uzbekistan are producing tangible results in all spheres of our lives.
Bukhara District is also making a worthy contribution to the development of our country at this new stage. Extensive work is being carried out to develop industry and entrepreneurship, create new jobs, increase agricultural efficiency, improve roads and engineering and communication infrastructure, and construct modern housing and social facilities.
In the first half of this year, the district produced industrial products worth UZS 1.2 trillion. The volume of exports reached USD 8 million.
Through the creation of new jobs, employment was provided for 24,700 citizens, while the poverty rate decreased from 3.2 percent to 2.1 percent.
Work on landscaping and greening is also continuing consistently. Within the framework of the nationwide “Green Space” programme, 554,200 tree, shrub, and flower seedlings were planted in the district during the spring season this year.
At present, a large-scale “New Uzbekistan” Park is being developed in the Bogidast area. In addition, a new public park is being established in the district center.
To date, more than UZS 200 billion has been allocated for construction and development projects, with construction and landscaping works underway at nearly 100 sites.
To provide residents with decent living conditions, 27 multi-storey residential buildings designed for 1,700 families are currently being constructed.
Major projects are also being implemented to provide the population with clean drinking water. By the end of 2026, the level of access to centralized drinking water is expected to reach 98.4 percent. As a result of a major project being implemented in cooperation with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the goal is to provide 100 percent of the district’s population with centralized clean drinking water by the end of 2028.
Dear fellow residents!
The future is, above all, closely linked to education and upbringing. Therefore, creating the necessary conditions for the younger generation to receive quality education and realize their knowledge and talents remains one of the district’s key priorities.
In recent years, preschool education coverage in the district has increased from 20 percent to 84.2 percent. As a result of the growing attention to education, in 2025, 10 school students from the district became winners of national and international subject Olympiads, while during the first six months of this year, another five of our students joined the ranks of winners.
Our young athletes are also proudly representing our country. During the first six months of this year, 42 athletes from our district became winners or prize-winners at national and international competitions. Of these, 11 athletes achieved success in international competitions, while 31 recorded strong results at national championships and cups.
Significant results are also being achieved in tourism. During the first six months of this year, the number of foreign tourists visiting the district reached 23,100, nearly doubling compared with the same period last year. Exports of tourism services amounted to USD 6.6 million.
All these achievements are the result of the dedicated work of our fellow residents, the initiatives of our entrepreneurs, the hard work of farmers and agricultural workers, and the creative spirit of our people.

Our greatest achievement during the years of independence has been peace and tranquility, as well as the unity and solidarity of our people.
Therefore, today’s glorious celebration once again calls upon us to unite around common goals and strive for even greater achievements for the development of our Motherland and the prosperity of our people.
The noble idea — “Together, as one Motherland and one people, we will create a new life and future!” — inspires us all to pursue great goals.
Taking this opportunity, I sincerely congratulate all our compatriots who have been awarded high state honors on the eve of Independence Day. Their worthy contribution to the development of our Motherland serves as an example for all of us.
