Grain Harvesting Season Begins in Buka District

The grain harvesting campaign for the 2026 crop has officially begun in Buka District. To ensure the efficient organization of the harvest, effective use of available resources, and loss-free collection of grain, a practical seminar was held.
During the event, participants reviewed the technical condition of harvesters and transport vehicles, the preparedness of harvesting teams, working conditions created for employees, and compliance with safety requirements. Officials provided recommendations aimed at completing the harvest quickly and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
This year, 39 combine harvesters and 180 transport vehicles have been mobilized to harvest grain grown on 15,000 hectares of farmland across the district. In addition, 39 specialized harvesting teams have been formed to ensure the campaign is carried out in an organized manner.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts of Buka’s farmers, another abundant harvest is expected this year.
