A briefing was held with the participation of the Head of the Bekabad District Department of Internal Affairs to raise awareness of cyber fraud prevention and the protection of citizens’ bank cards and personal information.
Dear citizens, greetings!
Today, as access to the internet and mobile communications continues to expand, cases of cyber fraud remain a serious concern. Fraudsters use various methods to gain people’s trust, steal money from bank cards, and obtain access to personal information.
Therefore, I urge everyone to remain vigilant and beware of fraudulent activities carried out by phone and over the internet.
First, do not trust strangers who claim to be bank employees or law enforcement officers. Never disclose your bank card details, PIN, or verification codes received by SMS.
Second, do not click on suspicious links in messages claiming that “You have won a prize” or “You have been granted financial assistance.” Such links may be designed to steal your personal information.
Third, do not download or run unverified APK, EXE, or ZIP files received through Telegram or other messaging apps.
Fourth, be wary of suspicious investment offers and financial pyramid schemes promising high returns within a short period.
Fifth, when shopping online, verify the seller’s reliability. Do not make advance payments to unknown individuals without first confirming that the product or service is legitimate.
In addition, use reliable security tools to protect your mobile devices. Before installing any application, verify its source and developer.
Dear citizens!
Remember that fraudsters often try to manipulate people by creating a sense of urgency, using intimidation, or promising easy money. In such situations, do not rush. Verify the information, consult your family members or trusted people, and if you suspect fraud, contact your bank through its official communication channels and report the matter to law enforcement authorities.
Awareness and vigilance are the most important safeguards against cyber fraud!
