Adminstration of the Bekabad District Tashkent Region

Today, one of the key priorities in agriculture is increasing productivity, ensuring timely and high-quality agrotechnical measures, and improving the phytosanitary condition of crops. For this purpose, a training and practical seminar was held on June 15 in the cotton fields of Bekobod District to identify and eliminate shortcomings in cotton cultivation. The event was attended by heads of farming enterprises, agronomists, and specialists from the Bekobod District Department of the Plant Quarantine and Protection Agency. During the seminar, issues identified through field observations were thoroughly discussed. Recommendations were provided on timely inter-row cultivation, irrigation and fertilization activities, as well as strengthening measures against weeds and pests. During the practical part of the event, a Chinese agronomist presented advanced practices for cultivating Chinese cotton varieties. Specialists from the Plant Quarantine and Protection Agency also explained modern methods of combating cotton pests and diseases. The process of using biological plant protection products was demonstrated practically during the seminar. At the end of the event, farmers and specialists received recommendations on scientifically based cotton care, continuous field monitoring, and high-quality implementation of agrotechnical measures.
