INFORMATION on the work carried out in the first quarter of 2023 to combat corruption in the system of the Ministry of Justice
In the system of the Ministry of Justice in the 1st quarter of 2023, the following measures were taken to combat corruption to identify and eliminate corruption risks in the system of the ministry:
- In the field of improving the activities of bodies and institutions of justice in combating corruption:
- in order to correctly enter civil status acts, employees of the civil registry offices improved the electronic system "Unified Electronic Archive of the Civil Registry Office";
– increased propaganda to provide citizens with information in the form of infographics and videos on the amount of payments on TV screens in the buildings of public service centers and registry offices, as well as through social networks;
– in the system of registration of paid services in public service centers, the possibility of linking the amount of payment to a formalized application has been created.
- In the field of prevention and suppression of corruption offenses in the bodies and institutions of justice:
- 1. In August 2022, an assessment of corruption risks in the system of the Ministry of Justice was carried out. According to the results of the assessment,
109 corruption risks were identified in the system of the Ministry of Justice (11high, 55medium, 43 low).
August 25 this year The Minister of Justice approved a program of 36 measures for 2022-2023 to combat corruption in the system of the Ministry of Justice to minimize identified corruption risks.
- 2.During the 1st quarter of 2023, the Ministry of Justice received a total of 25 appeals and reports of unlawful actions of employees of bodies and institutions of justice through communication channels.
Of these, the @antikorbot channel made only 19 messages in the telegram about illegal actions of employees of bodies and institutions of justice through the Telegram channel.
As a result of the study of these appeals and messages, appropriate disciplinary measures were applied to 1 employee. Also, preventive conversations were held with 5 employees of orags and institutions of justice.
- In the field of ensuring and monitoring the effective functioning of the anti-corruption system in the bodies and institutions of justice:
In the 1st quarter of 2023, the department checked the compliance of the directions for the provision of certain types of services by state service centers. Based on the results of the compliance check, proposals were made to improve the digitalization of services to minimize corruption risks.
Also, in cases identified, employment contracts were terminated with 1 employee, and appropriate disciplinary measures were applied to 24 employees. Preventive conversations were also held with 17 employees of public service centers.
- In the field of interaction with state bodies and organizations that carry out and participate in anti-corruption activities:
According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures for the effective organization of anti-corruption activities” dated July 6, 2021 No. 5177, practical assistance is provided to state bodies and organizations with a state share in the formation of anti-corruption management systems.
