The Ministry of Justice, in cooperation with the NGO “Madad,” has launched a new project aimed at reducing poverty through cooperatives organized within the framework of the “Regulatory Sandbox.”

🔹 Today, the presentation of this project (“Navkat Prosperity Center”) was held at the Ministry of Justice. It was attended by:
▪️ the EU Ambassador to Uzbekistan;
▪️ the Ambassadors of the Republic of Korea and Latvia;
▪️ the Director of KOICA and his deputy;
▪️ a representative of the British Embassy;
▪️ the Deputy Head of UNDP and representatives of other international organizations.
✅ The event highlighted that a pilot project has been launched in Navkat village of Koshrobod district, Samarkand region, and the “Navkat Prosperity Center” cooperative has been established. Members of the cooperative have equal rights, and an incentive and discount system will be introduced for active participants. The reserve fund will be directed toward education, vocational training, and infrastructure development.
The center focuses on three main groups:
🔺 youth (IT direction);
🔺 women (sewing industry);
🔺 unemployed individuals (agricultural production).
🔵 Expected outcomes of the project:
creating 135 new jobs in the first stage;
increasing household income by 30–40%;
expanding production, ensuring food security, and increasing purchasing power;
developing self-help, labor, and cooperation culture;
adopting a new model of the Law “On Cooperatives” based on the “Regulatory Sandbox” experience;
introducing modern management and a transparent system.
✅ This project is a strategic approach aimed at solving rural poverty and establishing a sustainable economic foundation for development. Through this initiative, rural residents will take steps toward a prosperous life through their own labor.
