At the initiative of the Ministry of Justice, a draft law has been developed предусматривающий administrative and criminal liability for organizing and participating in illegal street racing.

Currently, illegal street races held on public roads pose a serious threat to road users’ safety and public order, often leading to severe consequences, including fatalities. This situation has caused justified concerns and objections among citizens, including road users.

Taking this into account, the Ministry of Justice has drafted a law introducing administrative and criminal liability aimed at preventing traffic accidents resulting from illegal street racing. The draft has been submitted to relevant ministries and agencies for coordination.

The draft law was circulated to interested ministries and agencies for approval on February 17 of this year. After the prescribed approval procedure is completed, it will be submitted for public discussion.
