“Adolat” National Legal Information Center and UNICEF: A New Approach to Delivering Information on Children’s Rights

🔹 Today, an important cooperation meeting was held at the “Adolat” National Legal Information Center with the participation of Regina Maria Castillo, Head of the UNICEF Representative Office in Uzbekistan.
🔹 During the meeting, the parties thoroughly discussed issues related to protecting children’s rights in the country, increasing their legal awareness, and developing the child justice system in line with international standards.
Special attention was paid to introducing fundamentally new and modern mechanisms for delivering legal information related to children.
Ms. Regina Castillo highly praised the efforts to create child-friendly interpretations of legal documents, emphasizing that UNICEF’s methodological and practical support in this area will continue.
During the meeting, the parties addressed not only digital projects but also a wide range of issues related to safeguarding children’s interests in society.
In particular, enriching legal resources intended for parents and teachers, raising children’s awareness of protection from violence, and ensuring transparency of information on institutions providing services to children at the district level were identified as strategic priorities.
🔹 At the conclusion of the event, an agreement was reached to elevate cooperation between the “Adolat” National Legal Information Center and UNICEF to a new level, to continue systematic efforts in the future based on a joint “Roadmap,” and to implement all planned technical and social initiatives.
🔹 This meeting will serve as an important step in advancing reforms to ensure children’s rights in Uzbekistan to a new qualitative level.
