🇺🇿🤝🇰🇷 Uzbekistan–Korea Cooperation: National Intellectual Property System Improvement Project Moves to Practical Phase

✅Today, the Ministry of Justice, together with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), held a ceremonial opening of the project “Improving the State Governance System in the Field of Intellectual Property in Uzbekistan.”
🔹Following the opening ceremony, discussions were held on the digitalization of processes in the field of intellectual property and the improvement of relevant systems, as well as on practical coordination of cooperation between the parties.
🔹The Korean delegation’s visit will take place from January 26 to February 3, 2026, covering activities such as identifying and correcting data errors, handling information on inventions, utility models, industrial designs, and trademarks, as well as creating a database for training artificial intelligence.
🔹These events are aimed at moving the project to the practical phase, digitalizing the registration of intellectual property objects and state expertise processes, and agreeing on the necessary technical and organizational measures for the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies.
For reference: In June 2024, within the framework of KOICA’s “Projects and Programs by Country” initiative, this project “Improving the State Governance System in the Field of Intellectual Property in Uzbekistan” was selected as a winner.
