“Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy: Rule of Law and Digital Governance Discussed

🔹 Today, a press conference was held at the “Development Strategy” Center on the updated draft of the “Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy, focusing on the direction “Ensuring the rule of law and organizing citizen-oriented public administration.”
🔸 The event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Justice, the Agency for Public Administration Efficiency under the President, the Ministry of Digital Technologies, as well as media and public representatives.
🔹 It was emphasized that in President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s Address to the Oliy Majlis and the People of Uzbekistan, the need to revise the “Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy in light of current realities, new priorities, and citizens’ needs was specifically highlighted.
🔹 At the press conference, it was announced that the strategy draft sets out key tasks aimed at enhancing efficiency through full digitization of public administration and services, eliminating bureaucratic barriers, and creating convenience for citizens.
📌 In particular:
▪️ Increase the number of proactive and composite public services to at least 400;
▪️ Reduce the processing time of over 100 public services by 50%;
▪️ Simplify the procedures for nearly 500 services;
▪️ Fully abolish the requirement for over 110 documents and data;
▪️ Implement the “zero bureaucracy” principle in local government bodies.
🔸 At the end of the press conference, officials answered journalists’ questions in detail and emphasized that the updated “Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy will be a citizen-oriented, transparent document aimed at clear and tangible results.
