Uzbekistan is consistently implementing measures aimed at developing the field of intellectual property within the education and human resource training system.

In particular, in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 27, 2025, No. PR–358, starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, higher education specialists in the field of intellectual property will be trained at the National University of Uzbekistan, as well as at at least four higher education institutions by the 2029/2030 academic year.

In addition, modern educational programs on the protection of intellectual property will be introduced at Tashkent State University of Law. Leading experts in intellectual property management from the United Kingdom, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, and China, as well as foreign and domestic patent attorneys, will be actively involved in the educational process.

At the same time, in order to train promising specialists, the “El-Yurt Umidi” Foundation, in accordance with proposals from the Ministry of Justice, will allocate special quotas annually for training experts in the management of intellectual property objects at leading foreign higher education institutions.

As a result of these initiatives, it is planned to train 200 highly qualified specialists by 2027 who will contribute to the effective management and commercialization of intellectual property objects and to the development of an innovative economy.
