🔹As part of "Civil Society Week," a forum of Public Councils under state bodies was held today at the "Youth Creativity Palace." Representatives of ministries and departments, NGOs, local khokimiyats, and the media took part in the event.
🔹 The forum was opened with an introductory speech by Deputy Minister of Justice N. Mukhammadiyev.
🔹In his speech, he noted the reforms being implemented in recent years in the development of civil society, the role and importance of public councils in public administration.
"Public councils are an important bridge between the state and society. They will monitor the activities of government agencies, cooperate in preventing corruption, and most importantly, bring citizens' voices to the decision-making process." - Deputy Minister of Justice N. Mukhammadiev

He announced the development of a draft law to improve the Law "On Public Control," the preparation of the Civil Society Development Strategy until 2030, which includes proposals aimed at expanding the participation of NGOs and strengthening the activities of councils.
During the forum, issues of the activities of public councils under state bodies, increasing their effectiveness, best practices, and the institutionalization of transparent governance and public control were discussed.
🔹 At the end of the event, councils active in a number of areas were awarded by the Yuksalish National Movement in the nomination "Most Active Public Council." In particular, the Public Council under the Ministry of Justice was also deemed worthy of this nomination.
