Within the framework of the joint project "Further Improvement of Public Service Delivery in Uzbekistan," funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a presentation of the second stage of developing a modern master plan covering more than 100 hectares of Quvasoy city was held.
Representatives of state and public organizations, deputies, and local residents actively participated in the event. During the presentation, proposals aimed at the comprehensive development of the city territory, infrastructure improvement, and enhancing the quality of life for the population were discussed.
The event was attended by Shamsiddin Sharipov, Head of the Master Plans Department of the Ministry of Economy and Finance; Khamidkhon Khoshimov, a specialist from the ministry; and Zafarjon Turaqulov, the Mayor (Khokim) of Quvasoy city, who shared their views on the project's significance and expected results.
In addition, representatives of the Turkish design company "PAL" involved in the master plan development — company head Esen Caglar, economists Emre Koyuncu, Ali Sami Seckin, and Senanur Yaman — presented the ongoing work and solutions being developed based on international experience.
The main objective of the project is to establish modern tourism destinations in Quvasoy, ensure the rational placement of trade and service facilities, and renovate aging buildings and structures under the Renovation Program.
This master plan will serve as a solid foundation for the future development of Quvasoy, radically transforming the city's appearance, increasing its investment attractiveness, and creating a more comfortable living environment for its residents.
