Hungary will be partner in Supporting Young Innovators

On July 2, 2025, representatives of the Agency for Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan met with H.E. Mr. József Rózsa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation and advancing joint initiatives in science, technology, and innovation.
The discussions focused on the following key areas:
- Launching joint scientific projects in collaboration with Hungary’s National Research, Development and Innovation Office;
- Facilitating internship and exchange programs for Uzbek students and young researchers at leading Hungarian universities and research institutions, including HUN-REN, Óbuda University, Eötvös Loránd University, and the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME);
- Establishing acceleration and incubation programs in Uzbekistan with Hungarian support to foster the growth of local startups;
- Expanding opportunities for Uzbek students through educational quotas allocated by the Hungarian government;
- Proposing the creation of a dedicated pavilion to showcase Hungary’s technological innovations and startups at “InnoWeek.Uz–2025,” the annual innovation week organized by the Agency for Innovative Development.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to strengthen mutual cooperation, establish working groups to address the discussed areas, and outline concrete steps for practical implementation.
